Lincoln Charter School offers nine different MS and HS sports in fall, winter and spring seasons. A swim club has also been recently added. In 2007-2008 LCS athletics sponsored approximately 200 matches, meets, games and competitions. LCS participates in the Western Piedmont Athletic Association (WPAA) for Middle School athletics and is a charter member of the Piedmont Athletic Conference (PAC) for High School athletics. In addition, LCS is a member of the North Carolina High School Athletic Association (NCHSAA) – the governing body for most NC public HS athletics.
Highlights from 2007-2008:
- MS Softball – three-peat, regular season and tournament champions
- MS Volleyball – regular season runner-up
- MS Cheerleaders – 2nd place in competition
- MS Basketball girls – regular season and tournament runner-up
- HS Volleyball – SCC regular season and tournament runner-up
- HS Basketball girls – SCC co-regular season champions and SCC tournament champions
- HS Basketball boys – SCC regular season champions and SCC tournament champions
- HS Baseball – first ever visit to NCHSAA playoffs, tournament runner-up
